Wuzhong
Wuzhong lies in central Ningxia on the banks of the Yellow River, in one of the region's most important irrigated agricultural areas fed by canals dating back over two thousand years. Its economy is based on Yellow River irrigation farming, wolfberry and dairy production, halal food processing, and growing tourism, and it is a heartland of Hui Muslim culture. The city preserves landmarks such as the 108 Dagobas at Qingtongxia, stretches of the ancient Great Wall, and the historic Tongxin Grand Mosque. It has a temperate continental arid climate with hot summers and cold winters. For an international student, Wuzhong offers a vivid experience of Hui culture, famous morning tea houses, and renowned hand-grab mutton and lamb noodles.
