📖 About the university

Nanyang Institute of Technology is a public undergraduate university located in Nanyang City, Henan Province, and administered by the Henan provincial authorities. It was founded in 1986 and later upgraded to a full undergraduate institution, developing into an application-oriented engineering university. The campus covers roughly 1.17 square kilometers and the institute enrolls more than 20,000 full-time students. It is organized into around 19 teaching colleges covering nine disciplinary areas: science, engineering, management, literature, economics, education, law, medicine and the arts. Alongside strengths in mechanical engineering, software engineering and civil engineering, the university is distinctive for its Zhang Zhongjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, named after the famous ancient physician from Nanyang. Nanyang Institute of Technology admits international students and offers Chinese-language study for those learning in China.
