Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is a public research university in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province in north-east China, founded in 1920. It is a member of the C9 League and is included in Project 985, Project 211, and the Double First-Class initiative, and it is one of the country's foremost engineering universities.
