Taizhou College of Nanjing Normal University is a private undergraduate independent college in Taizhou, a city on the north bank of the Yangtze in central Jiangsu Province. It was approved by the Ministry of Education in June 2004 and is jointly run by Nanjing Normal University, one of China's leading teacher-training universities, and a local higher-education investment company. Serving over 14,000 students, it is organised into around thirteen schools and offers roughly forty-three undergraduate programmes spanning economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management and the arts. Drawing on its parent university's traditions, it has distinctive strengths in teacher education and art education, with several provincial first-class and star-rated programmes. A planned merger with a vocational college was halted in 2021, and it continues to operate as an independent college.
