📖 About the university
Chongqing Finance and Economics College is a private undergraduate institution on Shangwen Avenue in the Longzhouwan area of Banan district, in the southern part of Chongqing's main urban area. It was founded in June 2001 as the Rongzhi College of Chongqing Technology and Business University, created by that university together with Hong Kong and Beijing investment partners, and on 18 December 2020 the Ministry of Education approved its separation and conversion into a free-standing private institution under the present name, held by the Chongqing Xinoupeng education group. As the only converted finance-specialised independent college in Chongqing, it keeps a tightly commercial catalogue taught through schools of finance, accounting, wealth management, economics, business, information engineering, logistics engineering and management engineering — the wealth-management school being a rarity at Chinese undergraduate level. The planned campus covers about 902 mu, part of it still under construction in recent years. The motto is bright virtue, healthy body, broad learning and earnest practice. Students are drawn mainly from Chongqing and the southwest, and graduates head into the banks, securities firms, accounting practices and logistics companies of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Teaching is in Chinese and enrolment is domestic.

🌆 About Chongqing
Chongqing is a sprawling southwestern municipality built across steep hills where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers meet, giving it the nickname the mountain city. Its urban core holds around 16 million people, and its dramatic, multi-level terrain of bridges, tunnels, and cliffside buildings is unlike anywhere else in China. The climate is humid subtropical, with famously hot, humid summers and mild, often foggy winters. Landmarks include the glowing Hongya Cave stilt complex, the old Yangtze River cableway, Ciqikou ancient town, and the light-rail line that runs straight through a residential tower at Liziba. The city is the birthplace of fiery Chongqing hotpot, alongside spicy xiaomian noodles and laziji chicken. A distinctive metro and monorail system, Jiangbei International Airport, and high-speed rail connect its complex geography and the wider region. For an international student, Chongqing offers low living costs, dramatic scenery, and an intense, unforgettable urban experience.
