📖 About the university

Lanzhou Petrochemical University of Vocational Technology is a public vocational university in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, on the banks of the Yellow River. Its history goes back to petroleum and chemical technical schools founded in 1956 alongside China's first modern oil refinery and chemical base, and in 1999 it became the province's first independent public higher vocational college. In 2021 it was upgraded to a public undergraduate-level vocational university. As one of China's leading petrochemical training institutions, it specialises in petrochemical engineering, applied chemistry, process automation, mechanical engineering and related fields, and operates extensive on-campus and industry training bases.
