China University of Geosciences (Beijing), a national '211 Project' and 'Double First-Class' university with roots in the Beijing College of Geology founded in 1952, is one of the world's leading universities for the earth sciences. It specialises in geology, geophysics, mineral and energy resources, water and environmental science and geological engineering, and its geology and geological-resources disciplines are rated among the very best in China.
