📖 About the university
The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA), founded in 1950, is China's highest institution for the education of traditional Chinese opera. It was upgraded to a full college in 1978 and is jointly administered by the Ministry of Culture and the Beijing Municipal Government. NACTA has enrolled international students since 1992, teaching them Chinese language, culture and the art of Chinese opera. Students have come from the United States, Europe, Korea, Japan and beyond.
