Hunan Railway Professional Technology College is a full-time public higher-vocational college located in Zhuzhou, Hunan, a city that is one of China's principal centres for electric-locomotive and rail-equipment manufacturing. Founded in 1951, the college is a predominantly engineering-oriented comprehensive institution whose academic profile is built around rail transit, complemented by management, economics and liberal-arts programmes. It operates the Tianxin South, Yunlong West and Yunlong East campuses and is organised into around ten secondary colleges, including the Schools of Rail Transit Locomotive and Rolling Stock, Rail Transit Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing, Rail Transit Intelligent Control, Rail Transit Electrical Technology, and Rail Transit Operation Management, alongside units for quality and international education, physical education and innovation and entrepreneurship. As a national demonstrative and high-level (double-high) vocational college, it works closely with CRRC and other rail enterprises based in Zhuzhou and supplies large numbers of technicians for China's railway and urban-rail systems. As an applied vocational college it enrols primarily domestic students and does not currently advertise a dedicated Chinese-language pathway for international applicants.
