Anhui Polytechnic University in Wuhu, with roots dating to 1935, is an engineering university in eastern Anhui closely tied to the manufacturing economy of the Yangtze River city of Wuhu. Its strengths lie in mechanical engineering, automation, textile engineering, materials and design, with strong links to the Chery automobile company and local industry.
