📖 About the university

Wuhan Business University is a public full-time undergraduate institution located in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Hubei Province, under the direct supervision of the Hubei provincial government with administration by the Wuhan municipal government. The university traces its origins to the Wuhan Service School founded in 1963, which through various mergers became the Wuhan Commercial Service College at junior-college level in 1985 before being upgraded to Wuhan Business University at the undergraduate level with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2013. Situated beside Houguan Lake and covering about 169 acres, the university serves more than 10,000 full-time students and comprises schools including tourism and hospitality management, culinary and food engineering, economics, business administration and international education. It is especially known for hotel management, culinary and food engineering, logistics management and tourism, and it operates a distinctive equine industry and horse-racing program. Located in the major central-China metropolis of Wuhan, the university admits international students and provides Chinese-language study for learners in China.
