📖 About the university
Hubei Business College is a private full-time undergraduate institution on Xiongchu Avenue in Hongshan district of Wuhan, with a second campus in Xian'an district of Xianning to the south. Its origins go back to 1995 and the Wuhan Foreign Service School; the institution later became the Business College of the Hubei Institute of Technology and then of Hubei University of Technology, and in April 2015 the Ministry of Education approved its conversion into a free-standing private college under the present name. The academician Wu Hongxin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences serves as honorary president. More than 12,000 undergraduate and associate students study in ten teaching units across 39 bachelor and 21 associate programmes spanning economics, management, art, literature, engineering and education. Five programmes — finance, computer science and technology, English, financial management and visual communication design — are provincial first-class undergraduate programmes, design is a provincial key cultivated discipline, and the college hosts provincial comprehensive-reform pilots in finance, environmental design and product design. Over 600 teachers include an unusually international profile for a private college, with half reporting overseas study or training experience. Teaching is in Chinese and enrolment is domestic.

🌆 About Wuhan
Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province and the largest city in central China, formed from three historic towns where the Yangtze and Han rivers meet. With a metropolitan population of around 13 million, it is a major hub for transport, industry, and higher education, home to a dense concentration of universities. The climate is humid subtropical and known for very hot, humid summers that earn it a reputation as one of China's furnaces, along with cold, damp winters. Landmarks include the historic Yellow Crane Tower, the vast East Lake, the pioneering Yangtze River Bridge, and the snack-lined Hubu Alley. Local food is famous for hot dry noodles, Wuchang fish, and spicy duck neck. An expanding metro network, Tianhe International Airport, and a central high-speed rail position make it one of the country's best-connected cities. For an international student, Wuhan offers a huge student population, strong universities, affordable living, and a lively, youthful energy.
