Wuhan Institute of Technology is a public university in Wuhan built around chemical engineering and technology, founded in 1972 as a chemical-industry college. It remains a national leader in chemical engineering, chemical technology and phosphorus-chemical and green-chemistry research, closely tied to Hubei's large chemical industry.
