📖 About the university

Henan University of Engineering is a public undergraduate university located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, and administered by the Henan provincial authorities. It was established in 2007 by the merger of the former Zhengzhou Economic Management Cadre College and the former Henan Textile College, both founded in the 1950s and originally linked to the coal and textile industries. The university operates three campuses, with its main and south campuses situated in the Longhu area of Xinzheng, part of the Zhengzhou university town. As an engineering-focused institution, it offers programs across textiles, materials, machinery, computer science, safety engineering and economics and management, with particularly strong traditions in textile and materials engineering that reflect its industrial heritage. The university trains applied engineering and management talent for the manufacturing and textile sectors of central China. Henan University of Engineering admits international students and provides Chinese-language study for those learning in China.
