Lyuliang University is a public full-time undergraduate institution in Shanxi Province. It was established in 1978 as a teacher-training branch and was upgraded to a full undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2010. The university offers programs in education, humanities, science and engineering, with mining engineering reflecting the resource-rich Lyuliang region. Its campus is located in the mountainous city of Lyuliang.
