Hebei Normal University for Nationalities, with origins dating to 1907 as the Rehe Normal School, is Hebei Province's only ethnic-minority-focused public undergraduate university. Located in the historic city of Chengde, it is jointly built by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Hebei Provincial Government.
