📖 About the university

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a public research university founded in 1911, making it the oldest higher-education institution in Hong Kong and one of the most prestigious in Asia. It grew out of the Hong Kong College of Medicine, whose graduates included Sun Yat-sen, and has since developed into a comprehensive university organised into ten faculties spanning architecture, arts, business and economics, dentistry, education, engineering, law, medicine, science, and social sciences.
