🚇 To & from the city centre
There is no metro in Nanping. The station is about 25 km from the centre of Yanping District (the old city), so allow plenty of time and use a station bus or taxi/Didi.
IMPORTANT renaming warning for Nanping: this station opened on 28 June 2015 as 南平北站 (Nanping North) with the Hefu railway and was renamed 延平站 (Yanping) on 15 December 2019. On the same date the station 武夷山东站 (Wuyishan East) was renamed 南平市站 (Nanping City station) — and that one is in Jianyang District, where Nanping's municipal government seat moved. So 南平市站 is NOT in Yanping District. This station is NOT: 南平市站 (Jianyang), NOT 武夷山北站, NOT 建瓯西站 and NOT the old conventional 南平南站. Always check the Chinese station name on your ticket.
🔄 Getting from the station to the airport
The nearest airport is Wuyishan Airport (武夷山机场, WUS) in Wuyishan city to the north of the prefecture, reachable by train and then taxi. We did not verify times or fares. There is no metro in Nanping.
