Wuxi Xinqu (New District) Railway Station

The station serves the Xinwu industrial district (formerly the Wuxi New District) and is only about 3 km from Sunan Shuofang Airport, which serves both Wuxi and Suzhou — it is the closest railway station to that airport. Traffic is light, around 2,000 passengers a day, so getting in and out is quick. Wuxi Metro Line 3 calls at 无锡新区站. Bus routes serving it include 7, 18, 69, 751, 753, 755, 761, 769, 788, S789 and the Dafangqiao special line.

The station entered service on 1 July 2010 when the Shanghai–Nanjing intercity railway opened. It mainly serves business traffic in Xinwu District, where electronics factories and suppliers are concentrated, which makes it a practical stop for Arab buyers whose appointments are at the factories rather than in central Wuxi. Name warning: this is neither 'Wuxi Station' (无锡站) in the city centre nor 'Wuxi East' (无锡东站) on the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed line; only intercity services call here.
