Suifenhe has no metro; it is a small border town, and the station is close to the centre, reachable on foot or with a short taxi ride.
The terminus of the century-old Harbin–Suifenhe (Binsui) railway at China's border with Russia; the rebuilt station complex opened on 28 December 2015. A nearby dual-gauge track (Chinese standard gauge plus Russian broad gauge) lets trains from both countries share the same line without changing wheels, and the Suifenhe tunnel was upgraded in 2024-2025 as part of the 'Eastern Corridor' for China–Europe freight trains.
