🔄 Getting from the station to the airport
Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport (TAO) sits far to the northwest of the city. From downtown Qingdao Railway Station take Metro Line 3 to Qingdao North Station, then transfer to Metro Line 8 straight to the airport; the whole trip is about 90-105 minutes and costs around ¥8. A taxi covers the roughly 40 km in about 45-60 minutes but costs ¥130-160. The metro is cheapest; there is no free option, but Line 8 is a fast dedicated airport line for the final leg.
