Gansu's largest station and the main HSR hub. Served by Metro Line 1 at 'Lanzhou West North Square' (underground), the busiest station on the line. Plenty of taxis and buses.

Lanzhou has a large Hui Muslim population; halal beef-noodle (Lanzhou lamian) shops are everywhere. Metro Line 2 is being extended to reach the West station in future.

🔄 Getting from the station to the airport

Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport (LHW) connects to Lanzhou West Railway Station by a dedicated airport intercity train, the fast and recommended option, taking about 40 minutes for ¥18.5 (second class), with departures roughly every 20-40 minutes from 07:00 to 21:00. Alternatives are the airport shuttle bus (about ¥30) and a taxi (about 70 km, ¥120-150, around 1 hour).
