🚇 To & from the city centre
Kashgar has no metro. The station is near the city; use a taxi or bus to the Old Town and Grand Bazaar. It is China's westernmost railway station.
Historic Uyghur Silk Road city near the Kyrgyz, Pakistani and Tajik borders. Western terminus of the Southern Xinjiang and Hotan lines. Halal food is the norm. Expect security and ID checks.
🔄 Getting from the station to the airport
Kashgar Laining International Airport (KHG) is about 10-13 km from Kashgar Railway Station. There is no direct bus between them, so a taxi is easiest, about ¥30-40 and 20-25 minutes. By public bus you must transfer in the city center (for example toward People's Square, then Bus No. 2 to the airport, a flat ¥15), which is slower.
