Passenger service began on 1 July 2012, and Gaozhou Station today runs a handful of daily conventional-speed trains (T/K prefixes) linking Gaozhou to Maoming, Xinyi, Yangchun, Zhaoqing and Guangzhou. A planned high-speed corridor (Cenxi–Maoming) may eventually bring faster service, but as of 2026 the existing station still handles only conventional trains.
