🧭
To & from the city centre

The station sits in the heart of Chancheng District — old central Foshan — unlike Foshan West, which is far away in Nanhai District. It is served by 'Foshan Railway Station' on Foshan Metro Line 3, from which you can transfer onto the Guangzhou network via the Guangfo line. A taxi to the Zumiao temple area and the Chancheng business district is usually no more than 10-15 minutes.

💡
Traveller notes

Foshan's historic station, originally built in 1903 on the Guangzhou–Sanshui line, with the present station building entering service in December 1992. It handles conventional (non-high-speed) trains on the Guangsan and Guangmao lines towards western Guangdong. IMPORTANT name warning: 'Foshan Station' is NOT 'Foshan West Station' (佛山西站), which opened on 18 August 2017 in Shishan town, Nanhai District, and is the station where Guiyang–Guangzhou and Nanning–Guangzhou high-speed trains call. Check the full station name on your ticket — confusing the two costs more than half an hour of extra travel.
