Opened 9 September 2009, the same day as neighboring Beiliu station on the same line; the station building covers about 9,746 sqm with 5 tracks and two platforms able to handle 3 passenger trains at once. A separate new station, Cenxi East, is under construction for the planned Nanzhu high-speed railway but had not opened as of this update.
