📜 About & history
Xiguan Mosque, also known as Zhifang (Paper-mill) Mosque, was first built in the late Qing dynasty more than a century ago. Because of road widening the mosque was relocated four times before being rebuilt on Xiguan Main Street in 1980. Its prayer hall combines classical Chinese and Arabic architectural elements. The compact site covers about 0.7 mu.

Served by city buses along Xiguan Main Street; ask for 西关清真寺.
A smaller working neighbourhood mosque west of the centre, useful for prayer if you are staying in the western part of the city. Dress modestly.
In Chengxi District west of the Ximen centre, a few minutes by taxi along Xiguan Main Street.
