📜 About & history

As Xiaguan grew into Dali's commercial hub after the Panthay period, local Hui built this mosque in 1915 on the west side of Heilong Bridge, opening a 'Hui Street' in front of it (today's Wenming Street). It anchors the Hui quarter of downtown Xiaguan and remains an active congregational mosque.

In the heart of Xiaguan (modern Dali City) by Heilong Bridge; a few minutes by taxi from the railway/bus stations. Note: this is Xiaguan, not the walled Dali Ancient Town.

Wenming Street ('Hui Street') has many halal (qingzhen) eateries. Convenient base for Muslim travellers visiting Dali.
