📜 About & history

Muslims settled in Wuhu from the Yuan era, and in the Ming the Hui built a small mosque near Laoheng Street that was destroyed in the Qing wars. The present Wuhu Mosque faces west with a symmetrical layout blending Chinese palace-style halls and Arab-style additions; its hall and lecture hall are municipal protected relics and hold a gilded wooden plaque from the early Republic.
