📜 About & history

Shashi Mosque stands on Yingxi Street, now known as Hui Folk Street, in the Shashi district of Jingzhou on the north bank of the Yangtze. It is the Islamic religious centre for the Hui community of the old treaty port of Shashi. The mosque has been recognised nationally as a 'Model Five-Good Mosque' and a national advanced collective for ethnic unity. It remains the main functioning mosque in the Jingzhou area.

The mosque observes the five daily prayers and holds the Friday (Jumu'ah) congregation around midday. Seasonal times are posted inside.
