Also called the 'North Mosque' (Qingzhen Beisi), the Sajinqiao Ancient Mosque is said to date from the Yuan–Ming period, some six to seven hundred years ago. The original rectangular compound ran about 79.4 m east-west and 37.9 m north-south, covering over 3,000 square meters. Generations of Hui Muslims living along Sajinqiao, Damaishi Street and the surrounding lanes have worshipped and traded around it. During the Cultural Revolution much of the complex was destroyed, though the gate tower and an ancient scholar-tree survived, and it counts among the quarter's historic 'Seven Mosques'.

Buses to the Sajinqiao / Lianhu Road area; the mosque is on Sajinqiao Street north of the Xidajie crossroads.
It stands within the Muslim Quarter on the northwest Sajinqiao food street — walkable inside the 回坊.
From the Bell Tower walk northwest through the Muslim Quarter to Sajinqiao Street (about 15–20 minutes), or take Metro Line 1 one stop to Sajinqiao station.
