Wuxi's mosque was established in 1921, the city's earliest Islamic place of worship. The present building was reconstructed on a new site in 1999. It is a five-storey Arab-style structure with a 33.795 m minaret on one side, and its main prayer hall seats up to 300 worshippers. It stands beside the ancient Grand Canal, across Xueqian Street to the north from the former residence of Xue Fucheng.

Five daily prayers are observed, with the midday Friday congregational (Jumu'ah) prayer the main weekly gathering in the 300-capacity hall.

On Jiefang South Road by the ancient Grand Canal, near the Xue Fucheng former residence; use a map app for the nearest current bus stop.
The principal mosque for Muslim visitors to Wuxi; its riverside minaret near Xueqian Street makes it easy to locate.
