📜 About & history

The Middle Mosque (Zhongsi) stands in Bizi Alley in the southeast of Ankang's old city. According to a stele preserved in the mosque, the original temple was founded in the Yuan dynasty, making it among Ankang's earliest Islamic sites; it belongs to the old-teaching (Gedimu) tradition.
