📜 About & history
Built in 1465 in the Ming Chenghua era, the Eastern Mosque faces the Northern Mosque across a lane on the east bank of the Wei Canal. Its palace-style main hall and more than 10,000-square-metre compound preserve 30 rare paper-mounted wall paintings inside the prayer hall. It was designated a National Key Cultural Relic in 2001.
