Lingtang Ancient Mosque is the largest Islamic mosque for congregational worship in East China, standing at the heart of Lingtang Hui Nationality Township in Gaoyou. Its history spans more than 700 years, and it is designated a Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Unit as well as a National 3A-level tourist attraction. The original site covers about 3,500 square meters, laid out across three successive courtyards containing the front hall, main hall, kiln hall, ablution room, and more than 20 other rooms.

Open for the five daily prayers, with weekly Friday Jumu'ah; ablution facilities on site. Non-Muslim visitors are welcome to view the historic architecture outside prayer times, with modest dress required.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
Local buses connect Lingtang Hui Nationality Township with downtown Gaoyou.
There is no nearby Arab quarter; the Muslim community in Lingtang is historically composed of the local Hui nationality.
About 30-40 minutes by car south of downtown Gaoyou towards Lingtang Township.
