Jiayuguan Mosque serves the Hui Muslim community of Jiayuguan, the steel and garrison city built around the westernmost pass of the Great Wall in Gansu province. The mosque's architecture combines Islamic features—pointed minarets, arched doorways and tiled domes—with painted Chinese decorative elements, reflecting the long-standing presence of Hui traders and workers along this stretch of the Silk Road at the foot of the pass.

Open for the five daily prayers, with the main Friday Jumu'ah gathering around midday; ablution (wudu) facilities are on site. Modest dress is requested, and non-Muslim visitors are welcome outside prayer times.
