The Dongta West Grand Mosque in Litong District, Wuzhong, was founded in the mid-Qing dynasty and has a history of several centuries. It serves the dense Hui population of the Dongta area on the southeast edge of the city and follows the traditional east-facing Chinese mosque layout with a prayer hall, minaret tower and ablution rooms.
