Donglianhua Mosque is the visual and spiritual centre of Donglianhua, a purely Hui village founded in the early Ming that is now a National Historic and Cultural Village. First built in the late Qing and expanded in 1921, its earthen-and-timber prayer hall and towering minaret combine Chinese carved-beam architecture with Arab-Islamic aesthetics. The hall could seat over 400 worshippers, and after a 1987 expansion it can hold nearly 1,000. The village around it, famed for its Hui caravan (mabang) heritage, was listed as a National Historic and Cultural Village in 2008.

Reached by local bus or taxi from Weishan county town toward Yongjian Town; ask for Donglianhua Village.
