📜 About & history

The Dongguan (East Gate) Mosque is a principal mosque of Xinxiang's Hui community, located in the old East Gate quarter of the central Hongqi District. Xinxiang is a classic 「scattered settlement with small concentrations」 Hui area: of its minority population, over 56,000 are Hui (about 87%), historically clustering around the city's mosques such as this one and the Xinrong Street Mosque.
