📜 About & history
Built in the Qing Qianlong era, this Chinese-style mosque has a three-bay prayer hall and a three-tier minaret (bang tower). It is nationally famous as a Long March site: on 30 April 1935 Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Zhu De stayed in Dangui village, and that night Commander Zhu De met the mosque's imam here while Red Army staff lodged in the minaret. It stands in Xundian, the Hui-Yi autonomous county that is now part of Kunming municipality.

Bus from Xundian county town to Kedu Town, then local transport to Dangui village.
Arab and foreign Muslim traders in Yunnan gather mainly around Shuncheng Street Mosque in central Kunming; from there travel north to Xundian/Kedu by long-distance bus or car (about 2 hours).
