📜 About & history
Beiguan Mosque stands in the northern quarter of old Xining, where Hui Muslims have settled since the Ming dynasty. The mosque occupies a little over 8 mu (roughly 5,300 square metres) and is built in classical Chinese palace style, with tiered eaves and timber halls. It has been rebuilt over the generations but keeps its traditional layout of gate, courtyard and prayer hall on an east-west axis. It serves the Hui residents of the Beiguan neighbourhood.

Served by city buses running along Dongguan Main Street near Beiguan Street; ask for 北关清真寺.

About 1 km northeast of the Ximen city centre and roughly 950 m from Dongguan Grand Mosque; easily walked.
