The Baotou Great Mosque is the first and best-known mosque in Baotou, built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty in the Mosque Alley of Donghe (the old town) District. It is the centre of Baotou's Hui community and, alongside the Great Mosque of Hohhot, one of Inner Mongolia's most notable Islamic landmarks.
