It is divided into wood carving (a four-storey hall), jade, stone carving and a gold and jewellery centre, and is one of the world's biggest trading bases for sandalwood and agarwood, with jewellery sold at wholesale prices and carvings produced on site

💡 Tips for traders
Ask for a gemological test certificate before paying; there is a wide gap between natural and treated agarwood, so ask for a scent and weight test; for statues and hardwood furniture confirm the timber species (rosewood, sandalwood) and any CITES restrictions on international shipping; prices are negotiable and cash lowers them
