Lending Your Bank Card Can Make You a Criminal · Yalla China

🤝 Governing law: 刑法(帮助信息网络犯罪活动罪)/ Criminal Law (Aiding Cybercrime)

A friend asks to use your account for a commission — where's the danger?

Illustrative, general educational examples — not real specific facts and not legal advice; for awareness only. For an actual situation, consult a licensed lawyer.
The situation: A student agrees to rent his bank card to 'acquaintances' for a daily fee, thinking it's just passing money through, and fraud proceeds flow through his account.

Applicable law: Anyone who provides bank cards, payment accounts or phone lines to help network crimes, knowing or presumed to know, commits the 'crime of aiding cybercrime.' Even without joining the fraud itself, selling or renting the account brings criminal liability, freezing of all his accounts, and inclusion on banking watch-lists.

Outcome: The student was convicted of aiding, his accounts were frozen, and his credit and academic records suffered for years.

🎓 The lesson / takeaway

Lesson: Your bank card is your financial identity — never lend it, whatever the offer. 'Just passing money' is a door to prison.
