Jinjiang

In Fujian province

Jinjiang is a densely industrialized county-level city under Quanzhou on Fujian's southeastern coast, facing Taiwan across the strait. It is one of China's manufacturing powerhouses, best known as the home base of major sportswear brands such as Anta and 361 Degrees, and is often dubbed China's 'shoe capital.' Cultural treasures include the Cao'an temple, the only surviving Manichaean temple in the world with a stone statue of Mani, now part of the Quanzhou UNESCO World Heritage listing. The Song-dynasty Anping Bridge, a granite beam bridge stretching over two kilometers, was for centuries one of the longest bridges in China. Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, which lies within the city, links the region to domestic and Southeast Asian destinations.
