Jingzhou

In Hubei province

Jingzhou is an ancient city on the Yangtze in southern Hubei, a legendary center of the Three Kingdoms era once governed by the general Guan Yu, and home to a superbly preserved city wall and a museum of Chu-state relics. It has a humid subtropical climate. An airport and high-speed rail connect it to Wuhan and Yichang. For an international student, Jingzhou offers vivid classical history, ancient walls, and low living costs.
