Chongzuo
Chongzuo is a frontier city in southwestern Guangxi, sharing a long border with Vietnam and framed by classic sugar-loaf karst hills along the Zuo River. Its greatest natural landmark is the Detian Falls, a broad transnational waterfall straddling the China–Vietnam boundary and one of Asia's largest. The Zuojiang Huashan Rock Art, a UNESCO World Heritage site, preserves vast cliff paintings made by the ancient Luoyue people. The region is a major sugarcane producer and a refuge for the rare white-headed langur. With a humid subtropical climate, border trade through the Friendship Pass and strong Zhuang culture, Chongzuo is scenic and distinctly southern.
