The largest bazaar in the world by scale, opened in 2003 near Erdaoqiao in Urumqi, blending Islamic culture, architecture, ethnic commerce, tourism and entertainment. It features Islamic architectural elements of domes, arches, minarets and intricate geometric patterns, and includes a Silk Road sightseeing tower, a mosque, an opera theatre and a food court, standing as a symbol of the ancient Silk Road.
