ℹ️ About

China's oldest surviving mosque, founded in 1009 CE (400 AH) by Arab Muslim merchants in the port city of Quanzhou. What remains is a monumental Levantine-style stone gateway, the open-air Fengtian prayer hall and the Mingshan Hall. It was in China's first batch of national protected monuments in 1961 and is part of the Quanzhou UNESCO World Heritage site inscribed in 2021.
