The palace where Puyi, the last Qing emperor, lived from 1932 to 1945 as the figurehead emperor of Manchukuo, the state Japan set up in north-east China. It is now a large museum about the years of Japanese occupation, taking in the restored halls, the gardens and the emperor's garages.

🕐 Opening hoursOpens daily at 08:30; ticket sales stop at about 16:40 and the museum closes in the late afternoon, with the exact closing time changing between seasons.
